Why Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine focuses on addressing the root cause of someone's symptom/disease. Functional medicine recognizes that there may be more than one factor contributing to someone’s illness. Prevention and restoring the body back to homeostasis are the primary focuses of functional medicine. Factors such as diet, sleep, stress, and exercise are considered as a line of treatment. The main goal is to uncover why someone is ill rather than treating symptoms with a bandaid.

How Are The Sessions Designed?

Green Vegetables

Each session is designed to take a detailed history and a close look at symptoms. Lab tests are used to uncover underlying imbalances in the body. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to healing the body. Your nutritional plan will focus on nutrient-dense foods, rich in polyphenols and antioxidants. Nutrition and high quality supplementation are used to bring the body back to balance and promote healing. Each session will be tailored to setting up small goals that will then lead to big changes.
